In March 2026, Magdalena and Lidia Müller visited Bolzano (South Tyrol) to help establish indoor cycling in the region. The initiative began with discussions involving the president of the South Tyrolean Cycling Federation, the delegate for indoor cycling of the Italian Cycling Federation, and a representative of the gymnastics federation. All parties expressed great interest in developing indoor cycling sustainably in South Tyrol.
With the support of the gymnastics federation, the first step will be to identify suitable sports halls in the Bolzano/Bressanone region and to inspire gymnasts in particular to take up this sport.
Following the Italian summer holidays, the first demonstration events are planned in order to present indoor cycling locally and attract potential young athletes.
The goal of the ICWW’s commitment is to participate in the “Super World Championships” in 2031 in Trentino with athletes from Italy. At the same time, efforts will already be made in advance to increase media interest and significantly raise awareness of indoor cycling throughout the region.
